【Abstract】

Some important feature of the 21st century is digital,

networked and informationization, this is an information age at the

core of the network. As it can transmit information quickly, it

must rely on the perfect network to achieve informatization. Now

the network has become the lifeblood of the information society and

an important foundation for the development of a knowledge-based

economy, It have had an immeasurable impact on the modern people's

lives, work, study and communications as well as the socio-economic

development.

In this paper, on the brief history of the network, network

protocol, as well as examples of the network - the World Wide Web

introduced, so that we can have a better understanding of the

network and keep up with the times.
