首先，我已经刚刚申请成功了，建议大家也去申请，在这个是JetBrains给广大开源开发者的福利。虽然我主要是vscode。这个是我申请证收的开源项目：                zdhsoft/my_testlist: 用于专门编写测试例子的库 (github.com)https://github.com/zdhsoft/my_testlist

其实，它就是我日常学习或写例子的代码。但是，我还有xmcommon等若干开源。

上周收到提醒邮件，说我的JetBrains开源许可要到期了，让我续订。我按照要求填写续订资料，然后就成功了。

注意：在邮件中，有一个applying for renewal链接，点进去填写少量的项目资料，提交就可以了。

然后，我打开了我尘封几个月的webstorm，更新了license! 顺便也把webstorm更新到了最新版本了。

很早以前就听说可使用开源项目免费申请一年的 JetBrains 许可，博主最近也试了试，没想到 JetBrains 这么良心，两三天就通过了。本文记录过程。

前言

话说 JetBrains 系列 IDE 确实好用，但价格也不便宜，个人版的全家桶 All Products Pack 一年 249 刀，单独 PyCharm 专业版也要 89 刀一年。虽然网上一直有破解版流传，不过鱼龙混杂，破解补丁安全性存疑，而且近几年 JetBrains 官方对盗版打击力度较大，没到万不得已不建议使用。

同时 JetBrains 官方也有很多给力的活动，比如为教育用户（学生和教师）提供免费许可（需要 edu 邮箱验证），所以某宝上很多类似的激活码贩卖，一般都是批量通过 edu 邮箱 撸来的，几年前乌帮图也曾花二十大洋买过一个，半月不到就被官方 suspended 了，稳定性堪忧。所以博主一直固定使用的是 JetBrains PyCharm Community 即社区版外加 VSCode，也没啥问题。

后来在坛子里看到有网友说 JetBrains 活动：可以通过开源项目免费申请一年的许可，博主刚好有个放在 GitHub 上的项目一直在更新，那就赶紧撸一个吧。

JetBrains 开源开发许可证

官方简介：JetBrains 通过为核心项目贡献者免费提供一套一流的开发者工具来支持非商业开源项目。

官方给出的一些要求：

谁可以获得免费许可证？

必须满足以下条件的开源项目：

• 了解开源定义。
• 正在积极开发，例如，在过去 3 个月内定期提交新代码。
• 不提供开源软件的付费版本，也不提供与开源项目相关的任何商业服务（例如付费支持、咨询等）。
• 未获得商业公司或组织（NGO、教育、研究或政府组织）的资助。
• 不为他们的核心项目开发者支付工资。

支持条款：

• 许可证仅提供给项目负责人和核心项目提交者。
• 许可证有效期为一年，之后如果您的项目仍符合支持计划要求，也可以续订。
• 您只能将免费许可证用于开发非商业开源项目。
• 您不能与任何第三方共享免费许可证。

总结这个申请前的必要条件：有非商业的开源项目；过去 3 个月内有积极的提交代码。

具体步骤：

1、如果项目仓库中没有添加过 License，先 push 一个，博主用的 GPL-2.0 License。等会申请时需要提交仓库中的 License 地址。

2、依次填入各种信息，建议全用英文：

• 新用户选择：No, we are a new customer 。
• Project name：填入项目名称。
• Primary language(s)：项目主要开发语言。
• Project age：项目已开发时长。 请注意,项目必须在积极开发至少3个月才有资格 。
• Project website 和 Repository URL 都可填入Github 仓库地址。
• License URL：Github 仓库中的 License 地址。
• Country / region：默认 China 即可。
• No. of required licenses：选择申请几个许可，如果像博主这种一个人撸代码的，填 1 个就行。 请注意，许可证仅被授予给积极的贡献者。
• Project description：提供一些额外的信息来帮助我们更好地了解你的项目。用英文描述详细些。
• 继续填入 Email 地址、姓名，Github 个人主页，勾选同意协议，点击 APPLY FOR FREE LICENSES 按钮提交即可。

等待 JetBrains 获批邮件

上一步提交后，JetBrains 会给你填入的邮箱发送一封“ Your JetBrains Open Source License Request ”的邮件：

Hello wu,

Thank you for your Open Source license request.

We will evaluate your project, and we’ll notify you of our decision by email. Please note that it could take 1-2 weeks to have your project reviewed.

If your request is urgent or if you have any additional questions, please contact us at JetBrains Community Support.

邮件里虽说要等 1-2 周，但通常第二天就会收到申请是否通过的邮件。博主这里遇到个小插曲：

Hello wu,

Thanks for contacting us!

I’ve reviewed your open source project and I'm afraid we cannot approve your free license request at this point because we couldn’t see code commits submitted regularly to your project within the past 3 months. It is one of the requirements of JetBrains Open Source Support Program that the open source project should be actively and regularly developed.

You are welcome to contact us again at opensource@jetbrains.com after you keep working on your project and contribute to it regularly for a few more months. We’ll be happy to re-evaluate your free license request.

If you have any additional questions, please let me know.

大概意思是：我已经审查了你的开源项目，恐怕我们现在不能批准你的免费许可证申请，因为在过去的3个月里，我们看不到你的项目代码有定期提交。积极、定期地开发开源项目是JetBrains开源支持计划的要求之一。

看邮件内容是被拒绝啦？可俺这项目持续开发了一年多，基本是每周都会提交代码，哪里会不符合“积极提交代码”的条件呢。只得继续邮件回复沟通，顺便把俺 GitHub 上的 commit 链接和截图放在邮件里。

果不其然，官方回复是搞错了：

Thank you for reaching out!

I'm sorry, there must have been a misunderstanding from my side.

Now we’ve approved your request and issued one All Products Pack OS license to your project. Please check your inbox for the license certificate.

We hope to see more regular code commits from your side to the OS project during the year. If you have any questions - I will be glad to help.

很快就又收到“申请获批”的邮件：

邮件里有几点要注意的：

点击邮件中“Take me to my license(s)”链接，使用申请时填写的邮箱登陆或注册，会看到如下图这样的邀请链接，打开邀请链接即可激活许可证了。最后到 PyCharm 工具栏的 Help 中点击 Register 登陆账号即可，可以看到有效时间是一年。

总的来说，这个 JetBrains 开源项目许可申请是比较简单的，没啥高的门槛，如果有问题，给官方发邮件也能得到积极的回复。当然，不缺钱的老哥，直接买付费许可吧。
